FAQs

  • Is the treatment painful?

The needle equipment we use specifically for Cosmetic Acupuncture treatments are finer than hair, so you'd only mostly feel an achey, tingling sensation, or a subtle pulling and tightened sensation on some areas. However most clients have responded that they are surprised by how relaxed they feel after treatment.

  • Is there an age limit for doing Cosmetic Facial Acupuncture?

There is no age limit for doing Cosmetic Facial Acupuncture Treatment, you may be able to feel the difference no matter what age you are. However, the younger the skin is, the better the fascia ligaments and muscle elasticity are, so the treatment effects can be felt sooner and more obvious.

  • How many sessions are needed for treatment effects to be seen?

Acupuncture result is accumulative. The healing process can be various from person to person. It depends on physical condition, age and other factors. Generally, most people will see steady improvement after 4-8 visits.

  • Can I have facial acupuncture if I’ve had Botox or fillers, or should I do it instead of Botox?

Yes, you can have facial acupuncture after Botox or fillers, but timing is important. Wait 2 weeks after Botox and 4 weeks after fillers before getting facial acupuncture. If you're considering facial acupuncture as an alternative to Botox, I encourage it! While Botox freezes muscles to reduce wrinkles, it also limits the flow of lymph, blood, and Qi. In contrast, facial acupuncture restores the natural flow of Qi to the tissues, promoting overall skin health.

  • Can I do acupuncture/ facial acupuncture when pregnant?

Acupuncture is generally considered safe after the first trimester of pregnancy. However, during the first trimester, it's important to inform your acupuncturist about your pregnancy so that we can choose the most beneficial points for your treatment.

For pregnant women, the focus can also be on facial acupuncture, and if needed, the acupuncturist can skip certain acupuncture points. This ensures a tailored and safe approach to treatment during early pregnancy.
